Abebech Gobena Primary School and Burayou Primary School
AGOHELMA is contributing to the increase in enrolment rates of school aged children including increasing access to an educational facility and improving the quality of education provided.
To do this, it has established its own primary schools, one in Addis Ababa, the ‘Abebech Gobena Primary School’ (Kindergarten to grade 8) and one on the outskirts of Addis Ababa in Burayou (Kindergarten to grade 4). Both schools provide free education to those children living under the care of AGOHELMA as well as children living in the surrounding areas who would otherwise not be attending school.

Community Programs
In addition to running its own education facilities AGOHELMA provides assistance to other schools throughout the region. This assistance comes in various forms including the construction of buildings at:
- Ethiopia Edigat Primarily School
- Felege Birehan Primarily School; and
- Africa Unity School
Further,
- Built and improved sanitation in schools by providing clean toilets and water facilities.
- We have stocked libraries with books in than 12 schools in the intervention areas.
- We have organized different training programs at different times to teachers in many different government schools; and
- We provide school materials, uniforms and pays school fees for an average of 2500 students annually.
